COOK, SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR, FOOD WRITER
Hello my new friend, I'd love to show you how to make mouth-watering meals each week without spending a fortune on groceries, or hours slaving over the hob. With my simple approach to cooking and as little as £21 per week you can eat a variety of delicious meals in just 15-30 minutes.
I don't yet know your specific situation, but you can take our free food assessment to get an idea of where you are, and how we can best help. The one thing I'm fairly certain of is that you want to enjoy good and simple, tasty food - and importantly - on a small budget.
The good news is that tiny budget does not have to mean lack of quality or lack of flavour. I'll show you how to plan, shop and cook each week's delicious meals with minimal effort and maximum enjoyment - whether you're just starting out or a seasoned cook.
You might be wondering how I came to start this food project. The truth is that life doesn't always go in a straight line and my first career didn't take off. With limited funds and a twenty pound note for each week's food shop, I had to quickly figure out how to eat well each week.
A friend once suggested I write down some of my recipes and mealplans and what started as a tool to help me eat well developed into an idea to help others.
Late 2014 I took a part time job in street food and over the next two years worked full time on my first cookbook to eat well for £18.00 /week. Although most people thought I was mad, in 2016 I put my cookbook online for free and dedicated it to the 13 million people in the UK living on a low-income. This first book Eat Delicious is available to download here.
Whilst the pdf book has helped 10's of thousands of people, your emails frequently requested a print version. This year I'm thrilled to have worked with an award winning publisher (think The Body Coach, Jasmine Hemsley, Russell Brand etc) to create a fantastic good and cheap 'print book' you can buy and keep forever.
Whether you're here for mealtime inspiration, weekly mealplans or to learn some tips to eat well on a budget, I hope you find everything you need in these pages. P.s If you'd like to share your knowledge please take the time to contribute in the comments sections so we can learn from each other and pick up new skills and tricks along the way.
Happy cooking,
Limahl Xx
